BASICS
Dulles is 25 miles (42 km) west of Washington, D.C. A Travelers Aid counter is located on the ground-floor arrivals area. The airport's Web site offers a terminal map and lots of options for ground transportation.
TAXI
There is a taxi stand with a dispatcher outside the arrivals area. The fare to downtown Washington will be about $45 and it will take 45 to 60 minutes for the trip.
BUS
A good bus service called the Washington Flyer is available at Dulles. It departs about every 30 minutes all day and will take from 40 to 60 minutes for the trip. The buses arrive at the city airport terminal, 1517 K Street NW. From there, shuttle buses will take you to the major hotels, or you can take a taxi to your final destination. The fare is $16 one-way.
RENTAL CAR
All major rental car companies have counters at Dulles.
SHUTTLE
