BASICS
Sea-Tac is located 13 miles (21 km) south of downtown Seattle. The airport's QuickAid Web site includes a host of useful information, including:
TAXI
Taxi fare to downtown Seattle will be between $23 and $28, and travel time will be about 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the traffic.
BUS
The Gray Line Airport Express Bus has frequent service from the airport to downtown hotels. Departures are about every 1/2 hour from 5 A.M. to 11:30 P.M. The fare is about $8 and you can buy a ticket from the customer service counter in the baggage claim area or from the driver. You can meet the bus just outside the terminals, so the walk is not far. The Airport Express goes to all the major downtown hotels and the trip will take from 35 to 50 minutes.
VAN
Shuttle Express operates a fleet of vans that operate door to door service to and from the airport. They operate 24 hours a day. For a full list of airport shuttle companies, visit the airport's website. Most companies ask for at least 48 hours notice. The fare will be $20-$30 to downtown areas, and the trip will take 35 to 50 minutes.
RENTAL CAR
All major rental car companies are represented at SEA-TAC. If you are traveling outside of the downtown area, a rental car may be the most cost effective solution.
