| BEST WAY DOWNTOWN:
Dublin Airport is located 7 miles (11 km) north of the city center. A Travel Information Desk is located in the Arrivals Concourse. The airport's Web site is loaded with information including:
Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. Fare is 15 punt ($20) for the half-hour ride to the center of Dublin. To avoid any misunderstandings, agree on the fare before departing the airport.
Airlink Express Coach
Good shuttle bus service to the central bus station (Bus Àras) is available from the airport. The fare is 3 punt ($4). Buses leave every 15 minutes from the arrivals terminal and the trip takes about 30 minutes.
Local Bus Service
This bus to the city center (Eden Quay) runs between 6 A.M. and 11:30 P.M. The journey to the city center is about 30 minutes. The bus is available at curbside outside Arrivals.
Rental cars are very expensive and not recommended if you are going into central Dublin. But if you wish to drive through the sparkling countryside, Avis, Hertz, Budget, and Murrays serve the airport.
